SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION
Tim joined Meritage in 2009 and has senior responsibility for asset engineering and construction. His favorite quote is a reflection of his positive, can-do approach: “Today is the best day of my life.”
From late 2007 to 2009 Tim served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Arista Midstream Services, LLC where he worked closely with Delta Petroleum on the construction of a 25-mile gathering system and processing plant in Utah’s Paradox Basin. Prior to joining Arista, Tim was the Vice President of gathering for PRB Energy (2005 to 2007). His responsibilities included managing the gathering business unit, including three systems in the Power River Basin. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Pimmel worked at Bear Paw Energy where he held various operations management and project management positions including Operations Director. As Operations Director, he managed all aspects of field operations in the Power River Basin and the Williston Basin, oversaw 105 employees, and managed an annual O&M budget of $25 million and an annual $50 million capital budget.
From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Pimmel was a Facilities Planning Engineer at Kinder Morgan/KN Energy where he provided engineering support for business development projects and was a member of the corporate management team. Mr. Pimmel began his career in 1990 as a Field Engineer at KN Energy/ Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America where he carried out various assignments related to operations, engineering and regulatory compliance.
Tim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is passionate about children and baseball. Tim and his wife, Dawn, have four children. Tim teaches Sunday School and coaches an elementary school team through the nationally recognized Destination Imagination program.
